The 2026 State of Black Health Marketing
Five years of data on Black buying power, health disparities, and how healthcare and wellness brands are — and aren’t — reaching Black consumers. Free to download, no email required.
Why this report exists
This work began in 2021, out of a pattern that kept repeating in client conversations. Healthcare brands, wellness organizations, and community health initiatives all wanted to reach Black consumers meaningfully — and the research they were working from was outdated, too broad, or simply absent. Generic strategy followed, and the communities that needed serving stayed underserved.
This edition rebuilds that original research against 2024–2026 data, with the 2019–2021 baseline kept side by side so you can see exactly what moved. Written by Dasia Hood, founder of DH MEC LLC.
